World Championship Fiddlers Festival- 2nd Weekend in June
Join some of the best fiddlers anywhere as they compete for the World
Championship title. Participate, or just listen, it’s fun for everyone.
The Regional Steak Cook-Off is also held in conjunction with
the Fiddlers Festival. Angus Pride Steaks are always cooked with a dinner at the end of the day. Flea Market & Craft show has
East Texas Treasurers like no other.
The Antique Tractor Show also the same day and same location as the Fiddlers Festival brings
out restored farm machinery of a by-gone era for all to see and enjoy. This is a "one of a kind" weekend of entertainment for the
entire family.
Dennis Ivey’s East Texas Opry performs at the end of the day as Steak Dinners are enjoyed.
Juneteenth Celebration
Join
us in celebrating Emancipation Day in Texas. The celebration begins with a week long beauty pageant, concluding with a parade
in Downtown Crockett on June 19.

Downtown Beautification Annual Celebration/Parade/Fire works.
This is a great time of coming together with pride and a celebration
of our Independence. This is complete with an old fashion parade and a Pie-Baking and Ice Cream making contest. Don't
miss this "All American celebration" - you can sit back and enjoy the wonderful fire works displays.If the lake is your place
of choice you will not want to miss the boat parade and all of the decorate boats and watercraft. Our area goes "all out" to
celebrate the day of our Independence.
AUGUST
Crockett Area Hunting EXPO Crockett Civic Center
Gather up the Hunter's
and the outdoor lovers and come ondown to the wonderful Hunting Expo held indoors at the Civic Center in
Crockett Texas. You
will see the latest being offered in the Hunting industry as well as independent craftsman displaying lamps, bows and much, much more.
They are adding an outside exhibits in 2008 and we are expecting a record turn out of vendors for this event.
Labor Day Week-end
Annual Bluegrass Festival Labor Day Weekend
Held each year at Salmon Lake Park in Grapeland, Texas, people from all over the state

Dightman Rodeo -The Saturday before Labor Day
The Mytis Dightman
Labor Day Rodeo is held each year at the Porth Ag Arena in Crockett Texas. In conjunction with the Rodeo in 2007 .Also associated
with the Rodeo to help continue with our western heritage is the Dightman Trail ride that takes you down the scenic East Texas back
roads.
OCTOBER
TEXAS FOREST COUNTRY CAR SHOW AT COCHINO LODGE
A show to exhibit that “special-old-or new” vehicle in an elegant
country atmosphere. Walk the nature trail, Enjoy the lake view, visit, bring a casserole and have lunch with the group.

Grapeland Peanut Festival -2nd Weekend in October
Each
year, the City of Grapeland celebrates it’s agricultural roots with this hometown celebration. Festival includes games, rides,
food, arts and crafts, and of course PEANUTS!
Heritage Days Festival
Crockett Texas comes alive with history for this special
weekend. Living Historians from around the area present to children and adults alike the skills and activities of the early
settlers. The event also includes Civil War reenactments and a Civil War style Cotillion.

This is a time when merchants and residents in the downtown area as well as the Loop come together and have safe Halloween
activities for the children. There is candy for all and Halloween costume contest for all ages. This year a pumpkin carving
contest has been added as well.
